Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Join a dedicated team as a Maintenance Technician responsible for both mechanical and electrical maintenance within the facility. The role primarily focuses on mechanical work, particularly with conveyor systems, while also involving electrical troubleshooting with pre-written PLC programs. The work schedule is Monday to Saturday from 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM, with maintenance tasks predominantly occurring after production stops at 10:00 PM.

Responsibilities

+ Conduct mechanical maintenance on conveyor systems, including maintenance and monitoring of drive shafts, gearboxes, sprockets, chains, and lubrication.

+ Perform proactive preventative maintenance by inspecting and repairing equipment throughout the facility.

+ Address work orders involving repairs and replacements of various parts.

+ Respond to breakdown calls, collaborating with the team to determine appropriate responses.

+ Carry and maintain a detailed notebook, documenting maintenance tasks, problems encountered, solutions applied, and methodologies used.

Essential Skills

+ 3-5+ years of conveyor maintenance experience, including PM's, drive shafts, gearboxes, sprockets, cams, chains, oiling/greasing, motors, and repair/replacement.

+ 5+ years of mechanical troubleshooting experience with conveyors, gearboxes, motors, pumps, welding, refrigeration, plumbing/piping, and machinery.

+ 2+ years of electrical troubleshooting, including relay/PLC troubleshooting, trace and trace, inputs and outputs, and viewing programs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in food/baking industry.

+ Proficiency in refrigeration and plumbing/piping.

+ Experience with tig and mig welding.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of DETROIT, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
