Description
ARS is seeking a detail-oriented Software Tester to join our quality assurance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for testing software applications, identifying defects, and ensuring our products meet quality standards before release.

Responsibilities
+ Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for web, mobile, and desktop applications
+ Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing
+ Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking systems
+ Collaborate with development teams to reproduce and resolve identified issues
+ Conduct exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and usability issues
+ Participate in requirements review meetings to ensure testability and quality considerations
+ Maintain and update test documentation and procedures
+ Support release management activities and deployment testing
+ Perform compatibility testing across different browsers, devices, and operating systems
+ Contribute to test automation efforts when applicable
+ Other duties as required
Required Qualifications
+ Must be a US citizen
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience
+ Security + Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices
+ Proficiency with bug tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar)
+ Knowledge of different testing types (functional, regression, integration, performance)
+ Experience testing web applications and APIs
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
+ Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
+ Attention to detail and commitment to quality
Preferred Qualifications
+ 2+ years of experience in software testing or quality assurance
+ Experience with test automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, or similar)
+ Knowledge of programming languages (Java, Python, JavaScript)
+ Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
+ Experience with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured)
+ Understanding of database concepts and SQL
+ Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner)
+ Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
+ ISTQB certification or equivalent testing certifications
Technical Skills
+ Testing frameworks and methodologies
+ Bug tracking and test management tools
+ Web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript basics)
+ Database querying (SQL)
+ Version control systems (Git)
+ Basic scripting abilities
+ Cross-browser and cross-platform testing
