Description

We’re seeking a skilled Network Engineer with hands-on experience in Fortinet firewalls and enterprise network infrastructure to join our growing IT team. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining the organization’s network systems across LAN, WAN, and cloud environments. The ideal candidate is proactive, security-focused, and able to troubleshoot complex networking issues in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Design, configure, and maintain network security infrastructure with a strong emphasis on Fortinet firewalls and FortiGate appliances

+ Manage and support core network components including routers, switches, VPNs, and wireless networks

+ Monitor network performance and resolve issues related to connectivity, routing, and firewall rules

+ Implement network segmentation, security policies, and threat mitigation strategies

+ Conduct firewall policy audits, firmware upgrades, and log analysis

+ Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to support project delivery and IT operations

+ Create and maintain network documentation, topology diagrams, and standard operating procedures

+ Participate in on-call support rotation and respond to incidents and outages as needed

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

+ 3+ years of experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role

+ Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet security appliances (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer)

+ Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting firewalls, VPNs, and network security protocols

+ Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, NAT, ACLs)

+ Experience with LAN/WAN infrastructure, network monitoring tools, and packet analysis

+ Familiarity with enterprise network environments and high availability design

+ Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Fortinet NSE certification (NSE 4 or higher)

+ Experience with Cisco, Aruba, Palo Alto, or other network/security technologies

+ Knowledge of cloud networking in AWS or Azure

+ Experience in regulated or security-sensitive environments (e.g., healthcare, finance, government)
