+ DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

+ A technician who assists the Emergency Department staff in carrying out a variety of patient care, clerical and procedural tasks for the patients presenting in the department.

+ QUALIFICATIONS

+ Professional/Educational

+ High School Diploma or GED preferred.

+ At least 17 years of age.

+ Currently Certified by IDPH as a CNA, currently licensed as an EMT/Paramedic, or equivalent experience required.

+ Certified by the American Heart Association in CPR required.

+ DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.

+ Personal

+ Desire and ability to cooperate with and/or under the direction of others.

+ Possesses a sense of responsibility, initiative and honesty.

+ Ability to follow directions accurately.

+ Appreciation of and desire to be a part of a health care team dedicated to providing patients optimal care.

+ Possesses the ability to work under pressure.

Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
