    Job Title: Recreation TherapistDepartment: Therapies Location: Clifton Springs Nursing Home Hours Per Week: 37.5Schedule: Monday-Friday, either 8-4:30 or 9-5 SUMMARY:As a Recreation Therapist, your compassion and creativity assist in keeping our community physically and mentally healthy.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Completes a comprehensive assessment of client’s needs, restrictions, limitations, and preferences

    + Develops and implements individual treatment programs and group Therapeutic Recreation programs

    + Documents evaluation results, individualized treatment plans, progress reports, and other reports as required by the profession and the department

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    + NEURO-BEHAVIORAL UNIT ONLY: Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Therapy required.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Therapy, Music or Art Therapy, Human Services, Gerontology or related fields preferred.

    + Experience in specialty area preferred.

    + Previous experience planning, organizing, and implementing a quality activity program in a long term care setting preferred.

    + ElderONE EMPLOYMENT: 1 year experience with frail elderly population preferred

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

    The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant.
