    Job Responsibilities/Duties

    Hanford Tank Waste Operations & Closure (H2C), the prime contractor for Integrated Tank Disposition Contract (ITDC), delivers exceptional performance in safely removing, treating, and disposing of tank waste. H2C leads the nation's largest and most complex radioactive waste cleanup, including closure of the legacy waste tanks at Hanford containing 56 million gallons of radioactive and chemical waste.     H2C seeks an Administrative Specialist to support the Prime Contract Change & Integration Department. The Administrative Specialist provides a variety of administrative and staff support services to Prime Contract Management and the entire H2C administrative staff. The individual assists in the planning, preparation, control and implementation of the formal correspondence process. Reviews existing administrative procedures and practices and recommends changes where appropriate to improve effectiveness. Interprets policies for application to work scope. Assembles and interprets comprehensive data relating to performance measures as compared to objectives. Develops proposals, presentations, or other types of documentation and reports. Plans and carries out specialized assignments as requested. Maintains sensitivity of confidential business or personal sensitive information.

     

    The Administrative Specialist performs a variety of complex administrative functions or tasks to support the development, administration, and implementation of projects, programs and/or processes specific to contractual correspondence. Serves as administrative liaison within and outside the organization regarding complex administrative issues concerning correspondence including:

     

    * Requirements, process, and logistics

    * Editing documents

    * Integrated Document Management System (IDMS)

    * Correspondence Action Tracking System (CATS)

    * Identifying, marking, and protecting Official Use Only (OUO) Information

    * Website updates

    * SharePoint

    * Provide functional and operations guidance and training to administrative and clerical staff as required.

    Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

    *Prepares reports including conclusions and recommendations for solutions to general administrative problems.

    *Develops, evaluates, and interprets data and establishes metrics relating to performance measures as compared to objectives. Presents findings to management.

    *Analyzes organizational or program operating practices/processes, such as recordkeeping systems, forms control, office layout, personnel requirements and performance standards to create new systems and/or to revise established procedures.

    *Develops complex proposals, presentations or other types of documentation and reports.

    *Interprets and applies established policies and procedures as they relate to the department. Studies methods to improve workflow, simplify reporting procedures, measure performance standards and/or implement cost reductions. Develop, revise, and implement procedures to align with company expectations of correspondence function.

    *Prepares presentations, composes letters, drafts information summaries, and otherwise edits various forms of written material.

    *Prepares and reviews key project reports for clarity and grammatical correctness. Plans and coordinates production of such documentation.

    *Responsible/has oversight for database management and/or tracking of systems.

    *Other duties as assigned.

    Required Qualifications

    Grade 16:

    Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS); and five (5) years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Grade 17:

    Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS); and six (6) years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

     

    Note the essential duties for this grade level are like that of the previous grade level, however the scope of responsibility is larger, and the expected level of performance is increased.

    Grade 18:

    Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS); and eight (8) years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

     

    Note the essential duties for this grade level are like that of the previous grade level, however the scope of responsibility is significantly larger, and the expected level of performance is greatly increased.

    Desired Qualifications

    *Extensive experience directly working in full Microsoft Office 365 Suite & Adobe Acrobat

    *Integrated Document Management System (IDMS)

    *Correspondence Action Tracking System (CATS)

    Compensation & Benefits

    In accordance with the company's philosophy on compensation for exempt and salaried non-exempt employees, H2C takes into consideration a variety of factors when determining initial grade and salary to include assigned job scope and responsibility, a candidate's qualifications as compared to internal comparators performing in a similar role, and the external labor market. A salary offer will be made at the appropriate grade level and within the targeted hiring range posted according to these factors. Note a candidate's prior salary history will not be taken into consideration.

     

    Hiring Range Minimum: $88,200

     

    Hiring Range Maximum: $134,588
