Job Description

A large telecommunications client is looking for a Senior Data Engineer/Analyst to join their team. This team currently focuses on building the data infrastructure and dashboards that enables the business to conduct their analysis. They are currently utilizing Data Bricks, Tableau, Python, Spark and SQL. This team works with large sets of data, so it is important that the candidate has worked with Teradata sets.

The team is looking for an individual that can build and optimize their current data environments in order to increase efficiency of their business. Currently, data is being fed into data bricks/snowflake. This person is going to be responsible for helping to optimize what already exists in the data bricks environment and providing insight into if the current tools they are using is the best solution. You will also be writing complex queries, this team uses a mix of Spark, Scala, Python and SQL. You will also be responsible for connecting data from Data Bricks to Tableau, and creating visualizations. You will be optimizing, merging, and manipulating data in various environments. Due to the desire to optimize the business and have this person contribute to these conversations, it is important to be highly collaborative, a great communicator, and able to understand business needs.

This will be a 12 month contract, with the opportunity to renew or convert as long as expectations are met during the initial contract. This role will be fully remote, requiring you to work PST hours. Insurance benefits and a 401k contribution program are available to you while on contract. Skills and Requirements

7+ years of experience working within data engineering

5+ years of experience with AWS Data Bricks & Certification

5+ years of experience with SQL

Spark & Python scripting experience

4+ years of Tableau Experience

Experience writing complex queries

Located in MST/PST Time Zone null
