Under the guidance of the Pharmacy Tech Supervisor and HLT III, you will:

+ Prepare sterile products, including chemotherapy, investigational drugs, and biologics

+ Ensure smooth operations by maintaining inventory, organizing your workspace, and keeping supplies well-stocked and ordered on time

+ Take on various tasks assigned by pharmacy management to help us achieve operational excellence

Schedule: Monday-Friday 0830-1730 (60 min lunch), varied shifts depending on department needs; this role will require you to float and travel to multiple locations, including floating between the San Luis Obispo and Atascadero care centers.

Hourly Salary Range: $34.41 - 45.38 (Union represented, step-based salary depending on years of experience)

Bargaining Unit: EX - AFSCME

Qualifications

We're seeking a highly skilled licensed pharmacy technician with:

+ Pharmacy Technician License in the State of California in good standing

+ Available to work various shifts and locations including nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed

+ Experience preparing sterile chemotherapy and specialty solutions

+ Ability to maintain drug inventory and usage log and order drugs as needed to maintain an appropriate supply on hand

+ Ability to speak with persons of various social, cultural, economic and educational backgrounds to obtain information and explain procedures

+ Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with fellow technicians, pharmacists, volunteers and individuals in other work areas, and in a high volume under the stress of frequent interruptions and/or distractions

+ Skill in performing repetitive work according to set procedures and sequence

+ Strong communication, organizational, prioritizing, and follow-through skills
