    Traveling Phlebotomist

     

    Pay Range: $19–$24/hr w/$0.70/mileage

     

    About the Role

     

    We’re looking for a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our team and provide mobile specimen collection services across various client

     

    sites. If you’re experienced in blood draw techniques and enjoy working independently in diverse clinical environments, this role is for you. As a Traveling Phlebotomist, you’ll be responsible for greeting patients, collecting specimens accurately and efficiently, and ensuring proper handling and transport of samples. You’ll perform venipuncture, butterfly draws, and finger sticks, while maintaining safety protocols for biohazard disposal.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Accurately enter patient, insurance, and billing data into the system

    + Match lab requisition forms with specimen tubes

    + Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens per test requirements

    + Package and store samples at appropriate temperatures for transport

    + Ensure correct labeling and placement of samples in collection containers

    + Follow transport protocols to preserve specimen integrity

    + Demonstrate proficiency in all specimen collection and processing methods

    Required Skills & Experience

    + Minimum 3 years of hands-on phlebotomy experience

    + Expertise in blood draw and specimen handling

    + Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

    + Phlebotomy Certification (preferred)

    + Excellent customer service and communication skills

    + High School Diploma or GED (preferred; may be required based on state/lab guidelines)

    + Medical assistant or paramedic training (preferred)

     

    Work Environment

     

    + Travel to multiple client sites (no same-day site changes)

    + May be assigned to a single clinic for a week during staff absences

    + Locations include doctor’s offices and walk-in centers

    + Standard hours: Monday–Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00/hr.
