    We're Hiring: R&D Technician – East Hartford, CT

     

    Are you passionate about hands-on innovation in materials science? Join a cutting-edge team shaping the future of aerospace technology! We're looking for a Research & Development Technician to support exciting projects in polymer composites and adhesive technologies.

    What You’ll Do

    As an R&D Technician, you'll play a key role in developing and testing advanced materials. Your work will directly impact the performance and safety of commercial and military engines.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Fabricate polymer composites and bonded test samples.

    + Conduct lab tests including tensile testing and heat treating.

    + Analyze samples using image analysis software and other tools.

    + Organize, document, and communicate test data using Excel.

    + Collaborate with engineers to improve testing processes and fulfill technical requests.

     

    What You Bring

    Essential Qualifications:

    + Associate’s Degree in a scientific or technical field (Engineering, Physics, Machining, Materials).

    + 6+ months of hands-on experience in a lab or manufacturing setting.

    + Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.

    + Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

    Preferred Skills:

    + Familiarity with polymer composites, adhesives, and elastomers.

    + Experience with SAP and technical documentation.

    + Knowledge of metrology, materials testing, and machining.

    + Analytical testing experience is a plus.

    Work Environment

    + Location: Onsite in East Hartford, CT (D Building near the badging area).

    + Schedule: Flexible start/stop times with a 40-hour workweek.

    + Dress Code: Business casual; safety shoes required (can be expensed).

    + Duration: Long-term contract (36 months) with potential for permanent hire after 12 months.

    + Team Mission: Contribute to the safety and durability of aerospace engines in a collaborative, high-impact lab setting.

    Job Type & Compensation

    + Type: Contract-to-Hire

    + Pay: $25.00 – $30.00/hr

    Pay and Benefits
