Job Title: Intake CoordinatorJob Description

As an Intake Coordinator, you will be responsible for processing referrals received from referral sources, ensuring all required documentation is received to process referrals in a timely manner. You will enter patient demographic, clinical, and insurance information into the computer system, and complete insurance verification to ensure patients accept financial responsibility before initial shipment. You will also notify patients and caregivers about insurance coverage and payment responsibilities while maintaining confidentiality of patient and proprietary information.

Responsibilities

+ Process referrals received from referral sources efficiently.

+ Ensure the completion of intake referral checklists.

+ Enter patient demographic, clinical, insurance, and authorization information accurately into the computer system.

+ Complete insurance verification and ensure patients accept financial responsibility prior to the initial shipment.

+ Document progress notes in the computer system.

+ Notify patients and caregivers about insurance coverage and payment responsibilities.

+ Maintain confidentiality of patient and proprietary information.

Essential Skills

+ Strong customer service skills.

+ Proficiency in data entry and MS Suite (Excel, Word, Teams).

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.

+ Ability to multitask effectively.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Previous experience with patient care is a plus.

+ Familiarity with EMR systems, medical terminology, and prior authorization processes.

+ Pharmacy Technician certification is a plus.

+ Understanding of Medicaid and prior experience in pharmacy or healthcare.

+ High school graduate or equivalent.

Work Environment

You will work alongside seven other intake coordinators in an office setting, each having your own cubicle. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with the possibility of working until 6:00 PM on some days. There is an option to pick up additional hours on Saturdays with a pay differential. Training will be provided for 3-4 weeks. This role offers opportunities for growth to regional director or management level positions, annual merit increases, and the opportunity to work at one of the top home infusion providers in the country.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Centennial, Colorado.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
