General Labor Worker paying $18/hr

Job Description

Join the nation's premier provider of high-quality architectural precast components as a Carpentry and Masonry Specialist. We specialize in a wide array of products, from architectural panels and custom fabrication to site furnishings and design/build consultation. We are expanding our production team and looking for skilled individuals eager to contribute to our continued excellence.

Responsibilities

+ Work under the direct supervision of a crew leader to learn essential skills.

+ Set up and oil forms, measure surfaces and panels.

+ Lay mesh, tie reinforcing bars, and steel.

+ Set inserts and perform striking off and stripping forms.

+ Participate in cleaning tasks to maintain a neat work environment.

+ Show consistent improvement and take initiative to engage in productive tasks.

+ Be punctual and adhere to company policies.

+ Demonstrate loyalty to the company and respect for colleagues.

+ Function as a team player and seek opportunities to improve work processes.

+ Ensure plant safety in alignment with the Safety Manual and Safety Coordinator's guidance.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency with hand tools, concrete work, and general labor.

+ Experience with panel building/assembly and use of a tape measure.

+ Understanding of construction, finishing, commercial construction, rough carpentry.

+ 1+ year of previous concrete experience.

+ Ability to work on your feet for 50+ hours a week.

+ Capability to consistently produce quality products.

+ Ability to apply basic concepts of geometry.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in framing, drywall, and installation.

+ Ability to handle heavy lifting.

Work Environment

Work in an industrial setting, sometimes exposed to the elements when retrieving materials or panels. The environment can be dusty and dirty, and involves the use of heavy equipment. Collaborate with a team of 20 other panel builders.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Corsicana, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
