UPMC Kane is currently seeking a Casual Environmental Services Associate to help maintain a clean, safe, and healing environment for our patients, staff, and visitors. In this role, you'll play a vital part in promoting the quality of care by ensuring all areas of the hospital - including patient rooms, public spaces, offices, and equipment - meet the highest standards of cleanliness. You'll also assist with moving furniture and equipment, and help maintain window treatments, contributing to the overall comfort and safety of our facility.
This position primarily covers day and evening shifts, with flexibility needed to support team members during vacations and call-offs. You'll be scheduled for every third weekend (7am-3:30pm) and one holiday per year, with occasional opportunities to support off-site buildings.

Responsibilities:
+ Make beds, following established cleaning procedures in all patient discharge rooms and on-call rooms as assigned.
+ Inspect and ensure all assigned areas are properly cleaned and in good repair and report problems to the supervisor.
+ Replenish paper towels, toilet paper, and soap in all locations of assigned areas to assure adequate supply.
+ Clean all assigned areas, including patient rooms, public areas, toilets, procedure rooms, offices, and equipment, following established procedures.
+ Maintain assigned equipment in clean, working condition, reporting problems and suggestions to the supervisor.
+ Remove trash from all assigned areas.
+ Follow all safety and sanitation regulations.
+ Move equipment, furniture, and boxes, wash walls, spot carpets, etc. as assigned.
Required:
+ Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in order to successfully complete housekeeping duties.
+ Ability to use housekeeping equipment.
+ May in the course of duties be in rooms where medications are stored. No contact with medications is allowed.Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
