Position Overview
The **Tax Manager – Trust & Estate** will be responsible for managing and reviewing complex tax engagements, with a particular focus on trust, estate, and high-net-worth individual returns. This role involves direct client interaction, detailed tax preparation and review, and leadership in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional client service.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in public accounting, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a professional and collaborative demeanor.
Key Responsibilities
+ Prepare and review complex individual, trust, estate, partnership, and corporate income tax returns.
+ Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables exceed expectations.
+ Provide technical tax guidance and review work completed by staff to ensure accuracy and compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
+ Interact directly with clients to address tax planning, compliance questions, and long-term strategies.
+ Research and resolve complex tax issues related to trusts and estates.
+ Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant tax regulations and accounting standards.
+ Mentor and support junior team members through training, feedback, and performance development.
Minimum Requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s in Taxation or CPA preferred).
+ 2+ years of public accounting experience, with exposure to trust and estate taxation preferred.
+ Strong knowledge of individual, partnership, and corporate tax preparation and review.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
+ Professional demeanor, positive attitude, and commitment to high-quality client service.
+ Collaborative team player who is receptive to constructive feedback and focused on continuous improvement.
**Pay Details:** $120,000.00 to $150,000.00 per year
