Job Title: Service Technician

Job Description

+ We are seeking a highly skilled Service Technician to lead and mentor a team of new technicians.

+ The role involves performing comprehensive electrical and mechanical repairs on various types of tractor-trailer semis.

+ The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing engine issues, making necessary mechanical and electrical repairs, and using blueprints and schematics to ensure precise and efficient service.

Responsibilities

+ Lead and teach new technicians in the trade.

+ Conduct electrical and mechanical repairs on tractor-trailer semis.

+ Diagnose engine issues and perform troubleshooting for mechanical or electrical faults.

+ Make necessary mechanical changes and repairs to engines.

+ Perform electrical wiring repairs.

+ Utilize blueprints and schematics for specific engine work.

+ Operate various hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools.

+ Drive trucks in and out of the service bay.

+ Meet with customers to understand and address issues with their semis.

+ Lift up to 70 lbs as necessary, primarily using lifts.

Essential Skills

+ Proven expertise in diesel engine repair.

+ Experience with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.

+ Capability in using blueprints and schematics.

+ Proficient in field service and preventive maintenance.

+ Strong skills in hydraulics and repair services.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ A minimum of 10 years as a diesel technician.

+ At least 5 years of experience in developing others as a trainer, lead, or supervisor.

+ Possession of a CDL Class A is preferred.

The pay range for this position is $99840.00 - $108160.00/yr.
