    Job Summary

    Are you a creative student interested in gaining professional experience with video, audio or educational technologies and storytelling?

     

    Join our multimedia team within the College of Nursing SYSTECH department to support projects that enhance educational and professional experiences across the college. As a Video Production Assistant, you’ll work closely with our Videographer to assist faculty and staff in creating engaging digital content. This role offers hands-on experience in filming, editing, and

     

    multimedia design, helping you build valuable skills in visual storytelling, production workflows, and collaborative content creation. You’ll gain exposure to:

     

    * Professional video production tools and techniques

    * Multimedia project management

    * Creative collaboration with educators and staff

    * Real-world applications of digital media in education

     

    \*This position is open ONLY to University of Utah students who have been awarded WORK - STUDY funding for the current academic semester or year.

    Responsibilities

    * Assist in filming, editing, and producing multimedia content including educational videos, audio recordings, and presentations.

    * Provide on-site support for audio-visual services during classes, meetings, training, and campus events.

    * Set up, operate, and monitor video recording equipment to ensure high-quality production.

    * Collaborate with faculty and staff to enhance course materials through multimedia storytelling.

    * Organize and manage digital media files, project assets, and version control.

    * Create visual elements such as intro slides, graphics, transitions, and branding assets.

    * Help maintain documentation and contribute to training materials for multimedia tools and workflows.

    * Troubleshoot production-related issues and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency.

    * Participate in additional creative projects and initiatives as assigned.

    * Other relevant duties as requested.
