    Description

    **Tradesmen International** is immediately hiring experienced **Journeyman Pipefitters** for projects located in the **Springfield, OR area** . This is a full time opportunity, and the pay rate is **up to $40/hour** based on experience and skill level.     Job Scope:

    + Perform all aspects of copper piping installation, including cutting, fitting, and joining pipes for water, gas, HVAC, or other systems in a commercial setting

    + Expertise in creating sweat joints and performing brazing techniques to ensure secure, leak-free connections in copper systems

    + Adhere to safety standards and industry best practices for high-temperature brazing

    + Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications to lay out piping systems. Ensure accurate measurements and correct alignment of pipes

    + Conduct pressure testing and other system checks to verify that all piping systems are installed correctly and that there are no leaks

    + Use specialized equipment to perform leak detection and troubleshoot any issues

    + Diagnose and repair any issues that arise during installation or testing, including reworking joints, fixing leaks, or replacing damaged pipes

    + Work closely with other trades (mechanical, electrical, HVAC) to ensure smooth integration of the piping system within the overall building infrastructure

    + Follow all safety guidelines and OSHA regulations. Ensure that all work meets local building codes, regulations, and industry standards

    Requirements

    + 5+ years of experience

    + Proven Experience as a Pipefitter, with a focus on copper piping and brazing, especially in commercial construction environments

    + Strong understanding of blueprints and technical drawings, with the ability to translate them into accurate piping layouts and installations

    + In-depth knowledge of copper piping systems, sweat joints, brazing techniques, and testing methods
