Snapshot of your Day
The District Service Manager is responsible for
demonstrating and applying a broad knowledge of fundamental concepts,
practices, and procedures in the commercial and technical service management of
turbine and generator equipment. You will be responsible for the management of
all work scopes within the Vistra and Duke Nuclear Alliance, to include
installation, initial testing, operation, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting
and modification of customer equipment and systems. The position reports
directly to the Region Director for field service and has a high degree of
internal and external customer interface.
How you’ll make an impact:
+ Leadthe platform team to ensure that all aspects of the customer relationshipare maintained. Identifies and manages the resolution of morecomplex problems and apply problem-solving skills to deal with mostsituations.
+ Developand maintain the primary customer interface within the assigned district.
+ Managedistrict non-conformance costs and the identification of technical andcommercial risks and opportunities.
+ Managethe performance of on-site technical and operational support in thedesign, development, installation and maintenance of equipment and systemsof a complex nature.
+ Developbudgets and business plans to support the current and future workloadwithin the district.
+ Beresponsible for the district’s financial Profit & Loss and requiredreporting.
+ Workswith internal and external customers to develop complex maintenance plans.
+ Completesthe planning and estimating to develop complex proposals.
+ Performsthe review of complex task plans, drawings, and installation schematicsand provides continual guidance throughout task duration.
+ Leadthe collaboration of the platform team including Sales, Warranty, andparts to provide “best-in-class” customer service.
+ Managethe district engineers and support staffs ranging in size from 10 to 15persons.
+ Developemployees through training and coaching
+ Collaboratewith other departments to continuously improve Siemens products andservice
+ Communicatekey technical, commercial and customer issues upward to Senior Management.
What you Bring:
+ BS/BAin a business-related field or engineering preferred
+ Minimum10+ years of successful experience in related field and successfuldemonstration of key responsibilities and knowledge as presented above.
+ Experiencein general maintenance of large steam turbines, generators and associatedequipment.
+ Experienceworking with union & non-union labor
+ Requiredto travel up to 25%
+ Experienceworking in SAP
