    Your Specific Responsibilities:

    This is a prof essi ona l po siti on i n the B ureau of Chronic D isease Prevention. This pos i tion is responsible for a dminis trative ov e rs ight of the pro ce ssin g of co ntra ct actions for ass ig ned pro g ra m areas such as the E p il ep s y S erv ic e Pro gram. Th i s include s r ev i e wi ng contra ct s and provid i n g techn ical assistan ce i n the develop m ent of trainin g m ater i als.

     

    D ut i es and responsibili ti es i nclude , but are not li mi ted to the following :

    + Provides technical assistance to contract m anagers, program sta ff, and contract provider sta ff in the develop m ent , ne g otiation, and m ana g e m ent of assigned contracts. A lso provides techni c al assistance to co ntract m anager s and providers in resolving any invoicing and pay m ent issues.

    + R ev i ews all contr a ct documentation for co mpletion, erro rs, and adherence to current s ta tutes, policies, an d depart m ental and divis i on guidan ce.

    + Mai nta ins contr ac t files and ensures inclusion of all required documents .

    + Ass i sts p rogram fiscal s taff on t rack i ng co ntract expenditur e s . Prepares spreadsheets m onthly showing contract expenditures.

    + Assists with providing r em i nd e r s and su pport to help c ont rac t ma nagers and th eir s uperv i sors complete programmatic monitoring an d su p e rv is or attesta ti ons .

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    + Knowle d ge o f pub li c heal t h c are syste m, qua lity m ana g e m ent pract i ces, and chronic disease prevention and control.

    + Knowl ed g e of pub lic health pro g ra m s , m ana g e m ent principles , policies, la w s , fun ct ions , and pract i ces.

    + Ab ility t o de v e lop and wr i te policy , rules , proto col s , procedures , m anuals, g uidelines , g rants, and reports .

    + Ab ili ty to comm un ic ate e ff e cti vely verbally and i n writ in g .

    + Abili ty to wo r k co llaboratively w i th others and establish effective working re lat ionships with a wide variety of groups.

    + Abili ty to develop edu ca tional m aterials, and plan and con duct trainings.

    + Utilizes computer or microco m puter to prepare correspon dence, reports, and other work.

    + Other duties as requested .

    Qualifications:

    Experince in budget, contract, and grant management.

     

    A minimum of three years of co ntract management experience preferred.
